The Doomsday countdown starts now

The end of the world is coming! Within a year actually, we are only a year away from December 21, 2012 when the world is supposedly about to end. There have been several end of the year predictions before May 21 and Oct 21 but they both failed to materialize. However this one seems to be different as the mayan civilization had a great talent with astronomy. Advanced mathematics and primitive astronomy flourished, creating what many have called the most accurate calendar in the world.The Mayans predicted a final event that included a solar shift, a Venus transit and violent earthquakes. There are many believers of this theory taking to the internet to show there fear, The blogosphere exploded with more speculation when Mexico's archaeology institute acknowledged on Nov. 24 a second reference to Dec. 21, 2012, on a brick found at other ruins. In essence there is a slight possibility this may end up happening but more so than not I think we are all safe.
